Yesterday I spoke at the LA Pierce College Faculty Convocation and it was great. I always enjoy doing my "iPod Generation" speech because it's something I feel very passionate about, but this was even better than usual because I attended Pierce right out of high school (a very long time ago). Just walking around campus brought back a lot of great memories and I got some wonderful feedback from some of the people afterwards. Thanks Pierce College - for your kind hospitality yesterday and for getting me off to a great start in my career!

Jim,
thank you for your presentation at Pierce College. You are very motivational speaker. I also enjoyed your conversation about your children, your church and your experiences at Pierce College. It was very refreshing.
Appreciatively,

Thanks for the kind words - they are very much appreciated. I'm glad you enjoyed the presentation and I hope you have a great semester!
Jim,
I am a Student Services Specialist at Pierce College and I thoroughly enjoyed your presentation. It has been a long time since a speaker presented on a topic that truly inspired me. I had chills from the information you presented. It is truly wonderful that someone is taking a progressive approach to teaching our young adults. If at all possible I would love to get the presentation that ran at the end of your speech. Also, the name of the author that made the tech predictions. Thanks again for taking the time to present your ideas at Pierce College.

Wow! Thanks much for your generous comments. They are very much appreciated.
The writer I mentioned is Ray Kurzweil and the book is "The Singularity is Near". You can read more about him at: www.kurzweiltech.com.
The video I played at the end is called Information R/evolution and is produced by Michael Wesch from Kansas State University. You can see it on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-4CV05HyAbM.
Have a great semester!
